Music has a power beyond words to comfort, to energize and to help with the healing process. As famed doctor and author Olive Sacks has written, music can be more therapeutic than any medication. Music, he says, "brings back the feeling of life when nothing else can."

Since music makes such a positive difference in the lives of our patients, their families, and our staff, we have always envisioned a robust music program for the new cancer hospital, one where we have the capacity for patients and staff can personally view, or where patients can participate by watching from their rooms if their health precludes them from attending the concert.

Back by popular demand is "Kids & Critters - A Zoo Adventure," a special "A Christmas To Cure Cancer" zoo education program for children and youth.

Let the Columbus Zoo entertain your child while you are enjoying the event. Children will be divided in classes by age groups within the range of 4 to 14 years old. Your child's evening will fly by as they participate in hands-on activities, games, group play and experience up-close encounters with animal visitors. Food and beverages will be provided. Pre-registration is required and space is limited so sign up soon.

Drop off as early as 5pm. Program from 6pm - 8:30 ending with a tour of the lights as the Zoo staff walk the children to Water's Edge where they can meet up with their parents.

$25 donation per child.
